Hello! I’m Mrs. Autumn Young, a teacher candidate at Murray State University pursuing a degree in Middle School Education with a focus in English Language Arts.

Through my coursework and classroom experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in lesson planning, classroom management, and student-centered instruction. I am especially passionate about helping students build confidence in their reading and writing abilities, even those who may feel disconnected from English at first.

My teaching strengths include:

• Supporting diverse learners through clear instruction and scaffolding

• Encouraging student voice and participation

I believe that every student deserves a classroom where they feel supported, challenged, and capable of success. My goal as an educator is to create an environment where students not only improve academically but also develop confidence in their own ideas and abilities.
